DECISION RESERVED

RUINED BRIDGE CLAIM After long addresses by counsel, Mr. Justice Kennedy yesterday afternoon reserved his decision in the Supreme Court case in which the Thames Borough and the Thames County claimed £2,767 from the Kauri Timber Company. Plaintiffs alleged that, during the flood on May 17, 1924, the company’s logs had swept away the Kauaeranga Bridge. Mr. Julius Hogben, concluding his address for the plaintiffs, said that, in spite of all that had been said against the bridge, at the time it was destroyed, it was effective for its purI pose as a main highway bridge.
