SUCCESSFUL DANCE
THAMES GIRLS’ CLUB The Druids’ Hall, Newton, was en fete on Wednesday evening, when the Thames Girls’ Club held its third successful dance. The decorative scheme was beautifully carried out, and the lighting effects of rose and gold were particularly admired. A handsome banner, with “Thames Girl's Club” inscribed in gold letters, was a feature of the decorations. There was a large attendance, and i the function proved most enjoyable. ! Excellent music was supplied by Mor- \ row’s popular orchestra. Mrs. P. McGregor, president, received j the guests wearing a handsome frock I of peach crepe de chine, relieved with I taffeta. The committee included: Mrs. Kerr, ' in black crepe de chine: Mrs. Anderson, wearing amethyst crepe de chine, with silver trimming; Mrs. Davison, in navy blue georgette: Mrs. Cordes. who wore nattier blue crepe de chine; Miss Aitken (treasurer), in black georgette: Miss Xellie Surman, wearing sky blue crepe de chine with diamante trimmings; Mrs. Reardon, wearing pale blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Clarke, in cerise crepe de chine; Mrs. Stubbing, in cinnamon crepe de chine; Mrs. Xicholls, who wore black velvet and georgette; Mrs. Gribble, wearing pastel blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Culpitt, in black crepe de chine; Mrs. Radford, who wore black georgette and lace; l Mrs. Rea, wearing black ring velvet: Mrs. Rubber, in a gown of satin beaute; Miss Reardon, wearing amethyst satin. Among those present were: Miss Heading, who was in mauve taffeta. Miss G. Ferguson, ‘Wellington, in a gown of shell pink beaded georgette. Mrs. P. Howden, who wore a silver lace gown. Mrs. J. W.
