THRILLS LIKELY AT EPSOM Auckland’s Fine Schedule THE opening of the Auckland Trotting Club’s winter carnival tomorrow will mark the beginning of the end as far as the present season is concerned and when the fixture reaches finality on Monday the curtain will be drawn across the activities of the 1928-29 light-harness year. There is every indication that the function to be staged at Epsom on this occasion will be one of the most successful from every viewpoint yet seen in Auckland and patrons of Alexandra Park are assured of spectacular and thrilling contests. Goldman is a lively beginner, and sure to make things interesting, while on the same peg is Linkman, a consistent customer. Gold Dial, who can unwind a rare turn of speed, and the crack three-year-old Wrackler.
