OTAHUHU RETURNED SOLDIERS
The president, Rev. C. B. W. Seton, presided over a large attendance of members of the Otahuhu Returned Soldiers’ Social Club at the third annual meeting, held last evening. The president’s and secretary’s reports ftiade mention of the growth of membership of the club, which was 23 at the first, and 154 at present. The balance sheet. which was adopted without discussion, showed the finances to be in a healthy condition The general account showed receipts totalling £sl 9s, and expenditure £3l 9s 2d, leaving a credit balance of £l9 19s lOd. \ The Poppy Day account commenced the year with a credit balance of £76 Ss lOd, and receipts during the year brought the total up to £lsl 17s. The sum of £65 6s was expended- in the relief of distress cases. The sum of £B6 11s was carried forward. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Padre C. B. \V. Seton; vice-president, Bro. B. J. Fearnley; treasurer, Bro. K. N. Todd; secretary, Bro. T. "VV. Day; general committee, Bros. C. Lowe, "W. Wells, G. V. Pearce, A. T. McLaren, H. Dickey, W. H. Haslip; investigation committee, Bros. Sergt.-Major Brant, A. Heskett, T. Patterson; auditor, Bro. R. W. F. Wood.
