ANOTHER STOREY

WAITEMATA POWER BOARD ALTERATIONS WORK TO COST £8,300 The Waitemata Electric-Power Board has decided to add another storey to the present building in Albert Street. The new storey will have a flat concrete roof, which will provide for a further storey when required. The board has appointed Mr. Clinton Savage architect for the alterations and' addition, for which public tenders are to be called. The approximate .cost of the proposed work and furnishings is £8,300, and will absorb half of the amount of the reserves from the net revenue account. These funds represent the profits laid aside during the years when interest charges on loan expenditure were partly paid from loan moneys. During the four months when the work will be in progress, temporary accommodation elsewhere has been arranged for the staff.
