O’BRIAN’S “REVELLERS”

AT ST. JAMES THIS EVENING A revue company which is new to Auckland, Prank O’Brian’s “Revellers,” will appear at the St. James Theatre for the first time this evening. It is a gifted organisation that has attracted large attendances in Southern centres, and excellent entertainment may be expected. The company will present a singing and dancing revue, a feature of which will be the appearance of a ballet of eight members, in novel and spectacular dances. The costumes and the scenery have been designed on a lavish scale. Included in the company are Janice Hart and Tiny Bouglas and his versatile jazz band. The band is said to excel in novelty items and unique presentations of classical numbers. Mr. O’Brian specialises in comedy, and presents a number of very amusing sketches with original settings. Marie Ward, Bert Lee. Mable Morgan. Joe Hudson, Ernie Brooks an 1 Gordon Norville are other prominent members of the company. “The Woman From Hell.” Mary Astor s new vehicle for Fox, hitherto designed as a silent feature, is to have a. dialogue sequence. This is to be written by John Hunter Booth, one of the new group of prominent Broadway play-wrights recently engaged by Fox. Jle is the first to be assigned to film dialogue work.
