The executive of the Auckland Men’s Hockey Association met on Tuesday and decided that there should be only two rounds in the senior grade competition. one in the Devonport Shield competition, and three in the third, fourth and fifth grades. The second grade will be considered at the end of its first round. The’association approved the following .transfers: —Mingins, of Otahuhu, to Wesley: and Neild, of Otahuhu. to ; Papatoetoe. A complaint was received that last Saturday players using the Remuera pavilion lost sums of money and valuables from theft* coat pockets while playing. The association has decided to hold a dance for the country players visiting Auckland for the White Horse Cup competitions. The dance will be held in the Scots Hall on July 10. The Australian Tour. Thanks mainly to the efforts of the Canterbury Association the itinerary of the Australian team. which is to tour New Zealand has been greatly amended. Instead of being nothing more than a North Island tour the visitors will now go as far South as Dunedin and will play two matches in the South Island.
