THROUGH HEAVY RAIN
PLANE’S DIFFICULT FLIGHT Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Captain J. C. Mercer, of the New Zealand Air Force, left Christchurch yesterday morning in the Canterbury Aero Club’s Moth, NZAZ, with Mr. W. Williamson as passenger. He arrived back at 11.30 this morning. The plane flew very low on its return trip as visibility was poor owing to heavy rain. Conditions between Blenheim and the airdrome at Wigram were particularly bad.
