EPSOM TRAINER’S SUCCESS

the Addington trainerreinsman W. J. Tomkinson is again in the van for the premiership in both departments, he is being closely pressed by the Aucklander J. S. Shaw, and the competition wifi reach an interesting stage as the local carnival progresses. All things considered Shaw’s achievement for the season is a highly creditable one and it is unfortunate no trophy is offering for the most successful horseman in the North Island, as, should the Epsom trainer fail to overhaul “Tomky,” he will romp in an easy winner of the northern territory. J. Shaw deserves all the success that comes his way, as he is a painstaking and efficient meator, who does his horses well. No one in the Dominion has anything on the local man when it comes to putting on the condition.
