NORTHCOTE LIGHT BURNING.— The Marine Department advises that the Northcote light is now burning.
NEWTON ASH FROM TEXAS.—The steamer Newton Ash, 4,619 tons, has been chartered to load sulphur at Galveston, Texas, for New Zealand and Geelong.
PORT NICHOLSON FOR HOME.—The C. and D. Line advises that it is hoped to dispatch the steamer Port Nicholson from Wellington at 5 o’clock this afternoon for London, via Panama.
ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. The Iluddart - Parker steamer Ulimaroa reached Sydney from Auckland at six o’clock yesterday morning. She is to sail on Friday for Wellington, where she is scheduled to arrive next Tuesday.
OTIRA AT LONDON. —The Shaw Savill and Albion steamer Otirq,, from New Zealand, via Rio de Janeiro, is reported to have reached London last Monday. She was despatched from Wellington on May 3.

MONTREAL TO AUCKLAND.—CabIed news has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the Canadian Scottish left A [out real on June 1 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland and Australian ports. The vessel is due at Auckland on July 10. REMUERA SAILS SATURDAY.—Now filling up at Wellington for Home, the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Remueia leaves there at 6 a.m. on Saturday for Southampton and London, via Panama. Passengers embark at Wellington on Friday evening. CANOPUS SHELTERING AT KAWAU The AVestport Coal Company’s collier Canopus, which cleared port for Westport at eight o’clock yesterday evening, sent radio advice this morning that she was sheltering at Kawau on account of the heavy weather. She will not leave there until conditions moderate. SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Marama sails from Auckland at 3 p.m. on Friday for Sydney, and the Alaheno leaves Wellington at noon the same day. The Ulimaroa clears Sydney at noon on Friday for Wellington. All these vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. CARGO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA. —Advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the Kurow loads at Adelaide on Saturday, at Edithburg on June 25, Wallaroo on June 27, and at Alelbourne on July i for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington. New Plymouth, Auckland and Portland. PORT CAMPBELL LEAVES MONTEVIDEO.—The C. and D. Line has been notified by cablegram that the Port Campbell left Montevideo last Friday afternoon for London, en route from Wellington. The vessel left Wellington on May 25 for London. Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow. TASMANIAN TRANSPORT DUE.— Due at Auckland tomorrow afternoon from Ocean Island, the steamer Tasmanian Transport berths at the King’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her phosphates under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. Later the vessel proceeds to New Plymouth, thence Wanganui, to complete discharge.
TARANAKI IN PORT.—An arrival in the stream at Auckland last evening was the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s motor-ship Taranaki from Gisborne. As soon as the weather moderates the vessel will berth at the Central Wharf to complete her loading under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel from Auckland on Saturday for London via Panama. CITY OF BATAVIA FROM NEW YORK.—With cargo from New York for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, the A. and A. Line's chartered steamer City of Batavia is expected at Auckland any day now. No radio message has yet been received by the local agents, the New Zealand Shipping Company. PORT AUCKLAND LOADING.—The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Auckland left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon for further loading at Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellilngton on June 29, and will sail finally from there on July 2 for London, via Montevideo. CUMBERLAND NOW DUE.—No radio message has been received from the Federal steamer Cumberland, which is now due from Liverpool with West of England cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Port Chalmers. The vessel, which is under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been allotted a berth at the Queen's Wharf. CORINTHIC LOADING.—On completion of her discharge of London cargo at the Prince’s Wharf, the White Star liner Corinthic will commence loading under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel on Friday for Port Chalmers, thence Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading. She is expected to clear Wellington finally on July 6 for Southampton and London, via Panama. C. AND D. LINE LONDON VESSELS.—The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Alma is scheduled to clear London today with general merchandise for discharge at Wellington Auckland, and New Plymouth. She is due at Wellington about July 24, and at Auckland about July 31. She is to be Melbourne on July 31 for Suca, Auckland, and Port Chalmers, and the Port Nicholson on August 21 for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Nelson.
