COMMUNITY “SING”
CROWD AT TOWN HALL Hundreds of voices blended in song at the Town Hall today, when the weekly community “sing” was held. The most popular number proved to be “Sonny Boy,” with Vive L’Amour” a good second. "Sons of the Sea” followed by “Rule Brittania” received spirited treatment. Air. Jock Thompson, the Scottish baritone with Pat Hanna's “Diggers,” was the soloist, and he had to give three songs betore the audience was satisfied. He sang “Hall, Caledonia," “Annie Laurie” and “Alary.” Air. Pat Hanna’s monologues put the crowd into great good humour and he was very successiul in leading songs.
