SIGNED ON BACK

REJECTED TENDER TO BE CONSIDERED TRANSPORT BOARD TRUCKS The lowest tender received by the Transport Board yesterday for the construction of 25 sets of truck frames, brakes and draw-gear, was rejected because it was said to be unsigned. It has since been found that the tender, amounting to £9,040, which was received from the Whitworth Engineering Company, Ltd., was signed on the back. The tender will accordingly be considered with the remaining tenders by the board at next week’s meeting.
