MINIATURE BOXER ARRIVES FROM SYDNEY
A dapper young man scaling 7st 71b, Vic White, Australia’s champion boxer in the 7.7 and Bst. cass, arrived by the Marama today. He says boxing is good fun.
“They tell me New Zealand is being blown to pieces by earthquakes.” sa -id Vic, adjusting the very latest thing in ties. “I hope it won’t interfere with my little scrap down at Wellington.”
He will fight Cyril Hume at Wellington on Monday night. Vic celebrated his 24th birthday at sea yesterday. Though he is only oft 2in high, he holds a good record. Out of 31 fights, he has had 27 wins and two draws.
