NOISY MOTOR-CYCLES

CHURCH VESTRY COMPLAINT The noise created by motor-cycles has become such a nuisance to churchgoers that the vestry of St. Peter’s, Onehunga, asked the Borough Council by letter last evening if it could do anything to put a stop to it. On Sunday evenings, especially, it was stated that the noise made is such that at times the congregation could not hear the service. The Mayor, Mr. E. Morton said that the borough by-laws prohibited noisy motor vehicles and, on his motion, it was decided to instruct the traffic inspectors to take the necessary steps to put a stop to the nuisance.
