MANUKAU RATES STRUCK

NO INCREASE MADE Rates for the Manukau County-were struck at a meeting of the council today. The general rate, which is the same as last year, for the various ridings is as follows: —Mangere Riding, Id in the £ ; Pakuranga Riding, 1 3-8 d in the £ ; Papakura Riding, Id in the £ ; Papatoetoe, 7-8 d in the £ ; Turanga Riding, ljd in the £ ; Wairoa Riding, lid in the £. The Hospital and Charitable Aid rate is 5-16 d in the £. Special rates which were also struck are as follow, with last year’s figures in parentheses: Mangere W.W. No. 3, 3-16 d (l-8d): Mangere W.W. No. 2, id (3-8 d); Favona, id (5-16 d); Mangere East Hall, 3-16 d (id); Mangere Riding Roads, 3-8 d (3-8 d); Pakuranga.
