UNIONISTS RESUME
VOLUTEERS DISMISSED FROM TIMBER-YARD BOTH SIDES CLAIM WIN Reed. 10.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. One of Sydney's largest timber yards will resume work with union labour, the volunteers having been dismissed. The owner stated that the men were resuming on the Lukin award, but Trades Hall reports claim a victory, and that the terms of the resumption favour the strikers. It was rumoured that a secret meeting of volunteer timber workers was being held yesterday, which might result in the formation of a new union to be registered as a separate industrial body. The membership was expected to be 1,500.
