OPOTIKI FARMERS’ UNION
A lengthy list of members’ resisnations was received from the Auckland provincial secretary at the monthly j meeting of the Opotiki Farmers’ i Union. It was pointed out that the j resignations would weaken the union, and after discussion it was decided to write to the members asking if the executive had done anything to cause offence. Reports on the recent conferences of the Auckland Provincial Union and the. Bay of Plenty Development League were made by Messrs. Bradshaw and ; Martin, the respective delegates. It was decided to forward a remit :to the next meeting of the sub-pro-vincial branch of the farmers’ union, which will be held at Tanranga, urg- ! ing the construction of the railway. 1 from Taneatua eastward.
