WITH MILLET FROM FRANCE. —This charming bird-lover is holding a bunch of millet sprays which are imported from France. Y oung birds are given the sprays to feed upon when they are old enough to be taken from the parents.

“PURIRI LODGE."—A collection of budgerigars and love-birds in Mr. G. Rowland Hutchinson's aviary, Keith Avenue, Remuera. The birds have bred excellently. FOOD FROM FINLAND. —These are ants' eggs, brought all the way from Finland. They form an essential part of the diet of soft-billed or insectivorous birds in captivity.

Mr. A. E. Knowles, of 55 Hinemoa Avenue . Devonport, has a large variety of foreign birds, principally finches, from all parts of the world, in his aviary across the water. He looks upon aviculture as the most interesting of all hobbies.
