RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“LOVE AND THE DEVIL” Milton Sills is the star of “Love and the Devil.” notv being shown at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, Theatres. For the first time in many years, Sills has a Continental background for this dramatic story of the romance of an explorer and a grand opera prima donna. The story opens in darkest Africa, then swings to the gay theatrical life in Venice, and then to London and back to Venice. Sills' portrays an English lord, and the opera singer is played by Maria Cor da. Alexander Korda, one of the most successful foreign directors in Hollywood, was chosen to direct “Love and the Devil” because .. _ of his European experience. Sills has played a great variety of screen roles in his motion-picture career, and has one of the finest parts lie lias yet played in this romantic picture. ‘‘The Night Bird,” which is also being shown, is an amusing Reginald Denny picture, with the famous star in the role of a boxer, who is exceedingly shy of society.
