A Beethoven night to be given by ' the Auckland Municipal Band, under the direction of Mr. Christopher Smith, at the Town Hall on Saturday next should attract a record attenddance o i j music lovers. Included in a program m e of the bestkno w n works of the great master will be the Fifth Symphony (three movements), “Coriolan” overture, “Egmont” overture and “Sonata Pathetique” (Adagio). Mr. Len Barnes, dramatic baritone, will be the soloist, and Miss Thelma Gordon the accompanist.
