MR. MACDONALD’S VISIT TO AMERICA WARM WELCOME ASSURED (Australian and X.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 9 a.m. OTTAWA, Tuesday. The Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, in the House on Tuesday, denied official knowledge of hie report that he might be asked to attend a possible conference at Wash'ngton with Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, the British Prime Minister, and President Hoover. The denial was in reply t 0 a question. -t. message from Washington says the President has no information about Mr. MacDonald's possible visit the coming summer. However, it is indicated there that the British j. r tme Minister is assured of a corutal welcome. is understood that Mr. Macdonald intimated to American officials some time ago that whoever was fnme Minister in Britain should go t° America to attempt to adjust the naval armament question by a face-o-face conference with the President sn ~ American officials.
