MAN GIVEN £146 DAMAGES (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The magistrate, Mr. H. A. Young, gave judgment at the Christchurch Police Court yesterday for John Armstrong, labourer, for £IOO general damages and £46 9s special damages. Armstrong had sued Frederick Richardson, market gardener, of Green’s Road, Papanui, for £l9B 16s as damages. Richardson had been convicted in the Supreme Court of having caused actual bodily harm to Armstrong, having tired a gun at him. The claim covered expenses for four days in hospital, seven weeks’ absence from work. and surgical and medical charges.
