FRANK O’BRIAN’S “REVELLERS”

COMING TO THE ST. JAMES A particularly bright and entertaining programme is promised at the St. James Theatre next Monday evening, when Frank O’Brian and his “Revellers” will present their singing and dancing show. Frank O’Brian himself is at his best in amusing one-act sketches —a department of revue work in which his company is very strong. His chief assistants are Janice Hart and Bert Lee. Janice Hart is a singer and soubrette of very high standing, and her songs have always been popular features of this show elsewhere. New songs and duets will be presented by Bert Lee, Marie Ward, Mabelle Morgan, Gordon Norville and Jimmy Downes, while a competent ballet ’will also be introduced. “Tiny” Douglas’s Varsity Boys’ Jazz Band have an exceptionally line musical programme to present to Aucklanders, and are usually assisted in concerted items by the rest of the “Revellers.”
