Guilty of Serious Charge
In the Hamilton Supreme Court today William Thomas was found guilty of indecent assault at Ngaruawaliia. Sentence was postponed.—P.A.
Stole a Motor-Cycle Hugh Smith, aged IS, a clerk, who stole a motor-cycle and sidecar at Wellington, later tipping the sidecar over the Miramar Wharf into the water, has been committed for sentence to the Supreme Court. The outfit belonged to William Henry Davies, who valued it at £ISO.
County Clerk for Trial
At a sitting of the Xaseby Police Court, Frederick Arthur Lloyd, late clerk to the Maniototo County Council, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on charges of fraudulently omitting to account for sums totalling £419, received by him between the years of 1924 and 1929.—P.A.
New Crossing Sign The Railway Department has erected a compulsory stop sign at the Totara Avenue crossing. New Lynn. This crossing is regarded as a very dangerous one. The sign is not a very substantial one. and can only be seen from one direction.
