SIR A. FLETCHER’S CAREER EDUCATIONAL ENTHUSIAST (From Our Overt Correspondent) SUVA, June 5. Succeeding Sir Eyre Hutson as Governor of Fiji, and High Commissioner of the Western Pacific, Sir Arthur G. M. Fletcher, K.8.E., is expected to arrive in Suva some time in September. Sir Arthur, who has been Colonial Secretary in Ceylon for the past three years, was educated at Oxford and entered the service of the Crown in 1901. He went first as a cadet to HongKong, and became assistant-Colonial Secretary in 1913. That position he held until appointed to Ceylon. The new Governor is said to be deeply concerned with educational affairs, and has a bias toward agricultural education.
