SALES SATISFACTORY
ART SOCIETY SHOW IMPROVEMENT ON LAST YEAR The sales made so far at the Auckland Society of Arts annual show this year exceed those of last year, the 23 pictures sold realising 1 £145 19s. The attendance at the show continues to be satisfactors*. This evening the society’s art union, in which the first prize is “Ids*ll,” by Cedric Savage, will be drawn. The following is the latest list of pictures sold: “Bush Trade, Tasi mania,” by Sydney IT. Higgs, £7 7s; ‘ “South Coast Gums, N.S.W.”, by Winifred Caddy, £7 7s: “Roses,’ by Alice P. Whyte, £8 8s; “The Old Gum Trees.” by Minnie P. White, £6 6s; “Garden in Gillies Avenue,” bs r F. Fletcher, £4 4s: “An Old Homestead,” by Ida G. Eise, £6 6s: “A Bush Road, Waitakere,” bs* Ella Spicer, £l2 12s: “Zinnias.” by W. Bodle, £4 4s: “Old Street, Caen,” by Theo. Beswick, £5 J os.
