FIRST MEETING TOMORROW rpHE Transport Advisory j Council, which was constituted with the creation of | a Ministry of Transport, will | hold its first meeting in J Wellington tomorrow, when the Minister of Transport, the Hon. W. A. Veitch, is expected to give a survey of the problems and functions of the new body. Members of the council already have been supplied with copies of the Acts and regulations which the new Department of Transport ' will be expected to adminis- j ter. Included in these is legisls-tion dealing with ! motor vehicles, petrol tax, motor insurance, bus traffic, j lights on vehicles, and the Auckland Transport Act.
