WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MEETS AT OPOTIKI
The monthly meeting of the Opotiki Women’s Institute was presided over by the president. Mrs. Ah so lorn, about 40 members being present. The first item on the programme was the roll call, which consisted of impromptu spev.«riies by the members. Nurse Cameron then gave an address on “Dental Clinics,” which was listened to with great interest, and later the speaker made an appeal for help in establishing a clinic at Opotiki. A competition arranged by Mrs. Lambert was won by Mrs. Neilson. By an unfortunate oversight the demonstration of cake-icing by Miss Young could not be given, to the great disappointment of members, who hope to see -it at a later date. The hostesses for the evening wore Mesdamcs Burgess, Lambert. E. Young, Edmonds and Miss Sanford.
