FOOTBALL DANCE
BIRKENHEAD AND NORTHCOTE CLUB ENTERTAINS FRIENDS The Birkenhead and Xorthcote United Association Football Club held a successful dance in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Saturday evening. Messrs. Speed and Stephenson carried out the duties of M.C. Mayall’s orchestra supplied the dance music. Among those present were:— Mrs. J. Godfrey, shrimp pink ninon embroidered in crystal. Mrs. W. Elsley, white georgette with silver lace and posy. Mrs. R. McKinstrv, black embossed velvet with red relief. Mis. Ripley, frock of navy crepe de chine. Mrs. Bert Holman, red ring velvet and gold lace. Mrs. Ray Kelly, blue crepe de chine embroidered frock. Mrs. S. Banbury, coral pink embossed georgette with shawl to match. Mrs. Arthur Stayte, frock cf emerald green taffeta and silver lace. Miss Dorothy Cunningham, frock cf jade green taffeta with an uneven hemline. Miss Gretta Trimer, azure blue georgette with an uneven hemline. Miss T. Couch, bois de rose crepe de chine with gold lace. Miss K. Morris, frock of green georgette. Miss X. Anderson, flame satin, trimmed with gold lace and tulle. Miss Rene Taylor, pale green **tiß with pink posy. GOLD LAME FROCK Miss Sutcliffe, gold lame and apricot ereoe de chine with nosy. . B. Crombie, silver lace over red Miss D. Casey, frock of pale blue georgette. Miss M. Chetwynd, frock of j,reen tinsel with diamante trimmings. Miss D. Chetwynd, red crepe de chine with silver trimmings. Miss Jean Stayte, pink crepe de cnine with sliver lace and posy. Miss Saunders, duchess Hue georceJ* with tulle skirt. Miss H. Elsby, apple green georgette with silver trimming. Miss F. Robinson, shaded nlnk ~ gette with double flared skirt with diamante trimming. ~H Miss J. Litton, apple green taffeta won silver posy, shawl to tone. Miss D. Elsby. frock of rose laJtei* and silver lace. . Miss F. Swinburne, shell pink enema georgette frock. _ . Miss P. Wooliams, green crepe de cn.nw frock. SOCIAL TO MR. W. H. MURRAY About 100 people attended a s**to Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Murray in Point Erin Park kiosk on evening. In presenting Mr. Murr with a case of pipes and Mrs. j with a bouquet, the chairman, Mr. G. • Lynch, congratulated Mr. Murray his success in the City Council e § tion.
