COLLISION ON BRIDGE
SERVICE CAR PASSENGERS’ ESCAPE A service car on its way from Thames to Auckland and a two-seater motor-car driven by a Maori named Hori Baggs collided when crossing the Penrose railway bridge at about 6.30 on Saturday evening. There were a large number of passengers in the service car, which was driven by Mr. Desmond Skelton, but none was injured and those in the other car escaped harm. The small car was badly damaged by the impact, and the service car had its steering gear strained.
