A Consolidated Rate of 25-32 d in the £ upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough, in lieu of the following rates:— (a) General Rate of 3d in the £. tb) Library Rate of 3-32 d in the £. (e) Hospital Rate of 13-16 d in the £. td) Lighting Rate of £d in the £. 2. A Water Rate of id in the £ upon i the unimproved rateable value of all rateI able property (except vacant land) in the Borough, to which water is supplied, with a minimum annual charge of 7s 6d. except where a meter is affixed, in which case the charge shall be by meter as per Waterworks By-laws. Where water can be, but is not, supplied, half the above rates. (3) A uniform Annual Refuse Fee of 7s upon each shop, dwelling or other building from which the Council is prepared to remove refuse once weekly. 4. Upon the unimproved rateable value of all property in the Borough (excluding the new area) a consolidated Special Loans Interest Rate of 3 1-Sd in the £, in lieu of special annually recurring rates. 5. A Main Drainage Area Special Rate of 27-32 d in the £. 6. A Royal Oak Drainage Area Special Rate of 13-16 d in the £. 7. A Hardington Drainage Area Special Rate of 1 3-Sd in the £. 8. A Beresford Park and Te Papapa Drainage Area Special Rate of 3d in the £. 9. In the new area merged in the Borough on the 31st day of March, 1927, a Special Rate of 3d in the £ to be collected on the Unimproved Rateable Values of all rateable property appearing in the Valuation Roll for the said area, in lieu of the Special annually recurring rates struck to provide the interest and sinking funds on Loans 1, 6 and 9, and destructor loan. A Rebate of 5 per cent, will be allowed on all the above rates provided they are paid within 30 days from the date of the demand therof, and all arrears due by the ratepayer claiming the rebate are first paid. The above rates are payable in one sum on the 6th day of July, 1929, to the undersigned, at the Council Chambers, Queen Street, Onehunga. The estimates upon which the above Rates are being struck, having been approved by the Council, are, with the Valuation Rolls, open for inspection at the Council Office, Onehunga, during office hours.
