MRS. VICTOR MACKY IS GUEST AT MANY PARTIES GIVEN IN HAMILTON
Mrs. Victor Macky, of Auckland, was the guest of honour at several very Interesting parties during her visit to Hamilton.
On Wednesday morning the members of the Literary Circle of the Lyceum Club gave her a morning tea party. Mrs. Macky was talking about a book she is planning, ‘The Inner Light.” and talk turned on the development of strange mfental gifts. Those present were: Mrs. E. Walders, Mrs. E. V. Stace, Mrs. H. Valder, Mrs. IST. Rateliffe, Mrs. S. Green, Mrs. Kaber-Harrison, Mrs. Cole, Mrs. W. Eraser, Mrs. F. Jolly, Mrs. Codling (Te Pahu), Mrs. Marks (Te Rore), Mrs. Zijian (Cambridge), Miss N. Valder, Miss L. Valder.
On Thursday afternoon Mrs. KentJohnson, assisted by Miss Scherer, gave a delightful party for Mrs. Macky. Mrs. Kent-Johnson was in a black georgette frock with panels of rose. Mrs. Macky wore a charming frock of petunia georgette. Miss E. Scherer was in a frock of cyclamen accordion pleated georgette. Bright competitions and a pleasing little talk upon the origin of nursery rhymes were given by Mrs. Macky. The other guests were: Mrs. Valder. senr., Mrs. H. Valder, Mrs. F. Jolly, Mrs. Guy Blndon, Mrs. J. H. Smith, Mrs. J. S. Anchor, Mrs. W. G. Stevens, Mrs. Biggs (Auckland), Mrs. G. R. Barnett, Mrs. H. Toombs. Mrs. E. Walders, Mrs. Barry, Dr. de La Mare, Mrs E.
