BIRTHPLACE OF MR. RAMSAY MACDONALD.— Lossiemouth, so-called from its situation at the mouth of the Lossie River, which is five miles distant from Elgin, is a prosperous watering - place, seaport and police burgh, the burgh having been founded in the nineteenth century from three villages—old Lossie, Branderburgh and Stotfield. The sea-bathing and excellent golfing attract many visitors. It was here that the Rt. Hon. J. Ramsay MacDonald was born.
