MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT
A great programme of musical works by Beethoven will be given by the Municipal Band in the Town Hall on Saturday next. Overtures “Coriolan" (first time) and “Egmont,” three movements from the Fifth Symphony, the first movement of the First Symphony, the Adagio Cantabile from the Sonata Pathetique, a concerted arrangeemnt of the song, “Know’st Thou the Land?” a march from “Fidelio” and the popular minuet, are to be played. Mr. Len Barnes, dramatic baritone, will sing, with Miss Thelma Gordon at the piano. Booking arrangements are advertised.
