IN NEW PARAMOUNT TALKIE
'Paramount’s all-talking picture, “Interference,” which has been adapted
*'rom the famous play, will be seer and heard in Neu Zealand shortly 1 The picture had it* Australian premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre. Sydney. on May 4. for an extended season. “Interference” was produced recently in Auckland as a play, with Leon Gordon playing the role of Philip Voazc. William Powell has that part in the
Paramount production. The setting of the story' is English, and all the players speak with a cultured accent. Clive Brook, who plays Sir John Marlay. came to Hollywood from the London stage. Loris Kenyon, Evelyn Brent and William Powell have all had considerable experience both in London and on the Continent.
Other featured parts are played byClyde Cook, an Australian, and Brandon Hurst, who is a prominent Broadway stage player and also a wellknown character actor on the screen.
“Interference” also opened at the Majestic Theatre. Melbourne, and the Wondergrapli. Adelaide, on May- 4.
