NEW ZEALANDER CHOSEN ON METEOROLOGICAL STAFF Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. One of New Zealand’s representatives with Sir Douglas Mawson's forthcoming Antarctic expedition will be Mr. R. G. Simmers, of the Wellington Meteorological Office, who has been instructed to hold himself in readiness to proceed almost at once to England to join the Discovery, sailing in August. He will be on the meteorological staff of the expedition. He is 24 years old, a Timaru boy with a distinguished scholastic career and a Rhodes Scholar nominee.
