BIG FIGHT SCENES
FILMED FROM ACTUAL LIFE Scenes were recently filmed in the famous Madison Square Garden for a new Paramount picture dealing with the prize ring. It is titled “The Man I Love,” and cofeatures Mary Brian and Richard Arlen in the main roles. There were, in all, nine cameras concealed in all parts of the amphitheatre. There was an attendance of 19,000 at the Garden. and at the conclusion of every round of the preliminary bouts, many were astonished by the brilliant rays of sun arcs which were flashed in their faces. So intense was the light that it was impossible to see the ring when the next round began. Although they knew that a motionpicture company was at work, the fight “fans” were unable to discover a single camera, so well was each concealed. Sound recording apparatus was also concealed in the amphitheatre. and caught the roar of the crowd and the dull thud of the gloves.
