AUCKLAND’S NEXT T'H Enext race meeting in the province will be on August 24, at Ellers!ie—about 11 weeks off. Application has been made for this date for the next race meeting of Pakuranga Hunt at Ellerslie, and the date is recommended by the District Committee for approval. The proposed programme provides a sum of £2.400 in prize money, half of which is confined to events for hunters, including the Pakuranga Hunt Cup Steeplechase of £6OO. This fixture is a very popular one with the sporting fraternity, and it is more than likely that the meeting will be another big success.
