EXTRA DAYS AUCKLAND RECOMMENDATIONS A meeting of the Auckland District Committee was held yesterday. It was agreed to recommend the Conference to allot one day each of the two permits reported to be available for next season to the Waipa Racing Club and the Bay of Plenty Jockey Club. The Waipapakauri Racing Club’s application to race on January 25, instead of January 11, was recommended. The Ngaruawahia Racing Club was granted January' 18. The programme of the Pakuranga Hunt totalisator meeting for August 24 was approved, subject to that date being available. A large number of applications for licences for next season were considered and reported on to the Licensing Committee. The apprenticeship agreement between W. H. Patterson and R. M. Rix was cancelled. The suspension of D. R. Gunn’s jockey’s licence by the Franklin Racing Club for one month was confirmed.
