SALARIES IN SCHOOLS

NEW SCHEME SUGGESTED A new salary scheme was received by the Auckland Education Board this morning. With the memorandum containing a copy of the scheme, which was submitted tentatively by the Education Department to the New Zealand Educational Institute at its annual meeting, came a suggestion that the question should be discussed at the conference of boards of education.

The comment of the chairman. Mr. A. Burns, was that the question of salaries being on a limited basis had been raised. The board-deferred the question for discussion by a committee.
