MUCH RESTFUL SLEEP ON BIRTHDAY A MESSAGE FROM HOOVER British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Tuesday. It was announced at Windsor Castle today that the King passed., a good night. Yesterday, his 64th birthday, he spent comfortably, with considerable periods of restful sleep. Dr. Martyn visited him this morning, before the Prime Minister arrived for his audience. Among thousands of telegrams containing birthday congratulations to the King and wishing him a speedy recovery is one from President Hoover, as follows: —- “To the prayers of your loving and loyal subjects for your speedy restoration to health, permit me to add my own and those of my fellow-country-men, and may that undaunted courage which has before fortified you be sustained in your present illness.” Dr. Martyn visited his Majesty this evening, and announced that the King had had a quiet day. His condition is unchanged.
