ON MOUNT RUAPEHU

ALPINE CLUB’S VISIT Yesterday 30 members of the Auckland branch of the Alpine Sports Club returned after a three days* visit to the National Park. Weather conditions were good for the visit, although the snow-line on Mount Ruapehu was too high to allow members to indulge in any thrilling sport. The ascent of Ruapehu was made on Sunday, and on Mondaj r the party divided. One section tramped to the Taranaki Stream, and the other made an excursion to the Matariki Falls. The party left the National Park on Monday evening.
