Though the heat thrown out by this fireplace results from an electric installation, the reproductions in iron of the old firedogs and grate lead one back to earlier times. The concrete chimney face and tapestry bricks strike the modern note, but the link with the past is preserved by the old copper warming-pan hanging on the wall.
