UNITED CROQUET CLUB
A SATISFACTORY SEASON At tile annual meeting of tlie United Crmiuet Club, Mrs. Coleman presiding, the' secretary reported a successful season. The balance-sheet showed the finances to be in a satisfactory condition. Since the season closed the lawns had been top-dressed and greatly improved. The championship was won by Mrs. Coutts, the runnerup being Mrs. Brabunt. The doubles were won by Mesdames Stewart and Croxford, and the handicap singles by Mrs. Stewart. Trophies were donated by Mesdames Cooke, I-irabant, Coltman, Coutts and Stewart. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron. Mrs. H. K. Cooke: president. Mrs. Coutts; vice-presidents, Mesdames Coltman, Vause; club captain Mrs. Brabant; match committee, Mesdames Coutts, Brabant. Coltman; delegates to Auckland Associatiun, Mesdames Coltman, Croxford; general committee, Mesdames Brabant, Honnor Stewart, Dixon. Smith, Bolitho and Miss Broadbent; green superintendents, Mr. and Mrs. Cooke: secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Croxford.
