COUNCIL OF WOMEN

The conference of the International Council of Women, for the first time for 30 years,.was held in London from April 22 to May S, and at it Lady Gunson represented New Zealand.

The International Council' of Women was first formed in 1888, and today represents 40,000,000 in all parts of the world, according to a letter issued by Lady Gunson. The president of the council, the Marchioness of Aberdeen and Temair, has also sent out a circular, in which she says she is delighted to hear of the plans of Lady Gunson to endeavour to get together a few New Zealand women then in London to attend the meeting of the council.

The Marchioness says that she has always had reason to take a very special interest in the valiant little New Zealand council.
