ROTORUA SCHOOL SPORTS

NGONGOTAHA WINS BANNER (From Our Own Correspondent) ROTORUA, Monday. The Rotorua district primary school sports were held on the Government Cricket Ground. Approximately 1,000 entries from the following schools were received: Ngongotaha, Ngongotana Valley, Rotorua Primary, St Michael’s Convent, Whakarewarewa, and Rotokawa. A number of parents attended the sports, and were provided with some good sport. Ngongotaha won the banner with a total of 66 points. Rotorua Primary School, which previously held it, was second with 62 points, with Whakarewarewa, 36 points, third. Great praise is due to the headmasters and teachers for their efforts to make the meeting the success it was.
