This made Boddington two up and one. MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB Members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club played tho second round of the Ivingswell Shield competition at One Tree Hill. There were 4,000 spectators. ! Last year, on the same course, Compi ston beat the American by the record margin of IS up and 17. Today Ilagcn 'never reached championship form. H {seemed to play nonchalantly, as though | it were a mere exhibition game. Compston took the lead at ! ning, and kept it. He led by 2up at | the end of the first half, the score I being 1 and 73. His ultimate victory was attributable to Hagen’s inaccurat(approaching and putting.
