ROTORUA DOWNED
BASKETBALL CLUB GAMES Rotorua's senior basketball representatives were downed by Training College to the tune of 14 to 9 on Saturday morning. Superior combination gave the teachers their win. Tho Auckland Basketball Association staked its first series of club competitions for the season in the afternoon. Games were played at the Normal School and at the old Varsity courts. Tho girls turned out in force, and much enthusiasm was displayed. Results: Senior Grade.—Varsity Whites, 22, Grammar, 16; Varsity Blues, 14, Killarua, 6; Waratah, 16, Y.W.C.A., 16. Second Grade. —Edendale, 29, Y.W.C.A.. 11; Grammar B. 11, Grammar A, 5; Seddon, 15, Victoria, 15. Third Grade.—Otahuhu. 12, Surrev Hills, 10: Rata, 16, Y.W.C.A., 4: “New Zealand Herald,” 10, Turners and Growers, 4; Technica! College, 22, Grammar, 7; Killarua, 9. Wesley, 5. Fourth Grade.—Suburbs, 9, Turners and Growers, 4: Y.W.C.A. “A,” 8, Technical College. 7: Y.W.C.A. “B.’' 16, McKenzies, Ltd.. 5; Seddon, 14, Papatoetoe, 13; Manukau, S, Victoria, 5.
