WHISTLING BUOY REPLACED. The Marine Department has received word that the whistling buoy at the Lyttelton Heads has been replaced.

OTIRA AT RIO DE JANEIRO. A cable message to the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the Otira arrived at Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning from Wellington, and sailed again on Tuesday afternoon for London. The vessel left Wellington on May 3.

CANADIAN CONQUEROR COMING — The Canadian Conqueror is reported to have cleared Quebec last Thursday for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton, Tirnaiu and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about July 8. MAKURA DUE MONDAY.—The Union liner Makura, from San Francisco and Papeete, left Rarotonga at 9 a.m. on Tuesday for Wellington, and is due there on Monday morning. She is scheduled to leave again at 6 p.m. on Wednesday for Sydney. LAWBEATH SAILING. After unloading raw sugar from Cuba at Chelsea, • the steamer Lawbeath is to sail for West- ! port this afternoon to replenish her bunkers. From Westport she will go to Makatea Island to load a phosphate cargo for Honolulu. HURUNUI LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company thpt the Hurunui arrived at Panama on Sunday from London and sailed again on Mondav for Suva, Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth. _ The vessel is due at Auckland on June 25. VALACIA FROM HOME.—The Cunard Line cargo steamer Valacia. running under the auspices of the C. and L>. Line, is scheduled to reach Lyttelton from London next Tuesday. Her general merchandise cargo will be unloaded at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluif and TimREMUERA SAILING. —At daylight tomorrow the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company is dispatching tne liner Remuera from Auckland for Napier, thence Lyttelton and Wellington, to fill up for Home. She is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on June 22 for Southampton and London, via Panama. MARAMA LEAVES SYDNEY. —According to cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company, the intercolonial passenger steamer Marama left Sydney at 3 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. She has been allotted a berth at the Queen’s Wharf. CANADIAN BRITISHER TOMORROW—From Wellington to complete loading, the Canadian National Steamships vessel Canadian Britisher is due here tomorrow afternoon and berths at King’s Wharf. She is scheduled to sail for New York, Boston and Montreal on Tuesday next, June 4. TOFU A AT APIA. —Advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the Island passenger steamer Tofua arrived at Apia, Samoa, at 6 a.m. on Thursday, and leaves again at noon today for Suva and Auckland. She clears the Fijian port next Thursday, and is due here on Monday, June 10. MAIM O A FROM LIVERPOOL Due from Liverpool on Monday evening the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Maimoa will berth at Prince’s Wharf to unload, general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain to the agency of A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. From Auckland she will go to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. TRELISSICK DUE.—The Hain Line steamer Trelissick, due at Auckland at an early date with a ful cargo of phosphates from Ocean Island, has not reported by wireless yet. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Lyttelton. Cargo for Aucklapd will be unloaded at King’s Wharf to the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd.

RANGITIKI CLEARS PANAMA—CabIe advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the motorliner Rangitiki reached Panama last Wednesday and cleared Cristobal the following day, en route to Southampton and London. The vessel is making a quick passage, She was dispatched from Wellington at midnight on May 10, and made a call at Pitcairn Island.

NIAGARA DUE MONDAY. —Due in the stream at Auckland early on Monday morning from Sydney; the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara will berth about 8.30 a.m. at the Prince’s to land her passengers and mails and to load cargo for America. She is announced to sail again at noon on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver.

BRUNSWICK FROM SAN PEDRO— An expected arrivel at Auckland early next week is the electrically-driven tanker Brunswick, which has already visited this port. Th'e vessel is from San Pedro, and has a full cargo of bulk oil for discharge into the Atlantic Union Oil Company’s tanks at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She will berth at Western Wharf.

AORANGI DELAYED.—CabIed news has been received by the Union Company that the Aorangi, which left Vancouver on Wednesday, was being detained at Victoria 8.C., until 4 p.m. on Thursday, waiting for the British mail which crossed the Atlantic by the Empress of Scotland. She is due at Auckland on June 16 and sails the following day for Sydney.

SURREY FROM NEW YORK—The Federal Line steamer Surrey, under charter to the A. and A. Line, is expected at Auckland from New York on Monday. She is bringing case oil and general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Prince’s Wharf to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company.

NO WORD FROM VESTVARD—FuIIy due from Port Arthur (Texas) with a cargo of case oil, the Norwegian motorship Vestvard has not yet sent any radio advice as to the time of her arrival here. Her agents, Messrs. R. Millar and Co., expect hei' any day now. She is to berth at Western Wharf, and after discharging the local portion of her cargo is to proceed to Wellington and Austlian ports to complete.

OTOKIA TO DOCK.—The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the tanker Otokia, which arrived at Wellington yesterday from San Luis, California, sails on Wednesday for Auckland, where she is due next Friday. The tanker docks here to have her hull cleaned and painted, after which she proceeds to San Pedro to load again for Miramar.

CORINTHIC DUE WEDNESDAY. A wireless message has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company from their liner Corinthic, en route from London and Southampton, stating that the vessel will arrive at Wellington next Wednesday evening. She is due here on June 12, and will discharge and load under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company.

RUAPEHU DUE MONDAY. Leaving Lyttelton yesterday afternoon for Auckland, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu is due here on Monday, and will berth at the Queen's Wharf to continue her discharge of London cargo. She later proceeds to New Plymouth, where she completes discharge and commences loading for her return voyage. HUNTINGDON IN PORT.—Late last evening the Federal steamer Huntingdon arrived in the stream at Auckland from Gisborne, and this morning berthed at the Central Wharf to complete her loading under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel finally from this port next Thursday for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. MAILS FOR AUCKLAND. —The Chief Postmaster advises that the Royal Mail steamer Makura, from San Francisco, which is due at Wellington on June 3, has 503 bags of English and American mail for Auckland. The letter portion should reach here by the Main Trunk on Tuesday next. The R.M.S. Niagara, from Sydney, which is due at Auckland on June 3. has 357 bags of English, Eastern and Australian mails for Auckland. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. —The Union Company advises the following movements of vessels engaged in the transpacific services:— The Waitemata was to leave San Francisco yesterday and Los Angeles on June 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney The Waihemo left Union Bay on May 29 for San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. The Ilauraki left Adelaide on May 20 for Vancouver direct, where she is due on June 26. The Waiotapu was to leave Sydney yesterday for Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna will leave Dunedin on Tuesday for Bluff and New Plymouth, and will proceed thence to Auckland and Vancouver. The Waikawa left Apia on May 29 for Melbourne and Sydney, and will proceed thence to Vancouver, via Suva. Forward loadings at Pacific Coast ports are approximately as follow: The Waihemo will load during the first half of June for Napier. Lyttelton. Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. She will clear Los Angeles on June 10, and is due at Napier on July 5. The Hauraki will load during the last week of June and first half of July for Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. She is to clear Los Angeles on July 15, and is due at Auckland on August 5. The Wairuna will load during the second half of July and earlv in August for Papeete. Napier. Lyttelton, Dunedin. Nelson and New Plymouth. She wili clear Los Angeles on August 5, and is due at Napier on September X.
