ELLERSLIE FROM THE AIR.—A photograph taken from, an airplane by a SUN photographer. The various training tracks, as well as the race tracks, can be identified without difficulty. The Great Northern Steeples course runs round the outer portion of the course, over the hill, and down the wide track where the jumps can be seen. At the back of the trees to the left of the stands are the course workshops, and to the left of the trees is the exercise paddock. The water on the left of the course is Lake St. John, and beyond that may be seen Mount Wellington and the Tamaki.

IN TRANQUIL SETTING. —The fine tea kiosk and water-lily pond in the gardens at the back of the stands. Behind the tea kiosk is a stretch of rolling lawn, studded with beautiful English trees.
